This project formed part of my Honours Degree in Social Anthropology at UCT in 2011. It was a participatory research project. The four participants (all young, all from diverse backgrounds) lived in Blikkiesdorp, a temporary relocation area on the outskirts of Delft, Cape Town on the Cape Flats. I gave them disposable cameras to document what home meant to them in place they were told they were living temporarily. Together we mapped experiences of the ways home and community were made and broken within the space. The short film we made collectively can be viewed here
